Paul Wellstone

I listened with fascination to the Clinton Whitewater and Monicagate dramas. I despised W Coke Bush from the moment he was inaugurated. I was an avid listener to NPR for forever. But I never heard about Paul Wellstone until 2006 when my political activism was activated, and I started listening to Progressive Talk radio (Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Sam Seder, Cenk, Randi Rhodes). Everyone was gnashing their teeth about Paul Wellstone, and I was like, "Who's this Wellstone guy? NPR never mentioned him, never heard about him on PBS or the network news."

I've come to realize that the Corporate media did not appreciate Wellstone's populist message.

Life Long Democrats? Yeah right.

So if you are a lifelong Democrat but then vote Republican, that means you are siding with the people who:

1) Want to outlaw abortion
2) Want to punish immigrants and not those who employ them
3) Want to put all retirement money into the stock market
4) Want to expose all non-Christians
5) Want to eliminate the FDA
6) Want to put Creationism and science on an equal footing
7) Want to take more money from poor people and less money from rich people
8) Want to ignore climate science
9) Want to drill for oil/frack for gas everywhere
10) Want to ignore crumbling infraxtructure
11) Want to start wars for profit

Why not just sit on your hands instead of letting Republicans ... and the wimpy Democrats ... think you favor their above policies? Or write in a progressive candidate!
